after 22 months, on 29. august 2004, the physical-spatially part of project downunder is completet. with the placement of the southern sphere object in the southern pacific ocean and the northern sphere object on the northern hemisphere in the swiss alps near termen in the wallis, the goal is reached to mark two opposite positions on our planet by placing two sphere objects on each side which creates a direct virtual line throught the centre of the globe. geographical starting point for the northern sphere was aarau because of an exhibition of the kunstraum aarau in october / november 2003. thus the geographical position is intended for the southern sphere. a little deviation of about 63 nautical miles happend when the southern sphere object was placed in the southern pacific ocean. a correction of the northern position is required. the definite position for the northern sphere is in the swiss alps in the tunetschgraben at termen near brig in the wallis. the definite placement of the southern sphere object takes place at 18. november 2003 the definite placement of the northern sphere object takes place at 29. august 2004 phase 3 begins... © arlette ochsner, lenzburg, switzerland
